What’s with all the apple in here?

Last week a woman walked past me and started to laugh. I don’t know if it was because of me or not, but I certainly wonder if I should be offended or claiming money for provided entertainment. Then again, I doubt it was because of me. There are people who walk past me and sneeze, I don’t think that’s my fault either…at least I hope so.

Anyway, pictures of my workplace (new with additional iMac), breakfast from two weeks ago, the floor plan of the new office (news of the office move sent me into a state of permanent rage last week) and my sisters (or my sisters bosses) iPad.

Animal Farm, Watership Down, Of Man and Mice, To Kill a Mockingbird

…also I’d like to know why one picture always comes out right and the other one all shitty.

Was it Orson or H.G. ?

the war of the worldsRight now I’m reading The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells whom I tend to mix up with Orson Welles, who was responsible for the epic radio adaptation of the book. Could those guys have more similar names? Yes they could, but thank you very much, I’m good with the way it is…or not since I mix them up anyway…

I was kind of reluctant to start reading it because I just finished The Kite Runner yesterday. Sometimes after I read something really good I don’t want to start a new book, because the new one won’t be as awesome as what I just read. And to be honest, I think it will take a while till I find something that can measure up to The Kite Runner.

I really only bought The Kite Runner because I heard it was good and I saw it at a little train station book shop. So I picked it up and didn’t read it until I was out of things to read. Big mistake because my first status update on Goodreads was about how I just started reading but had the feeling I would like this book. And I was right, I liked it, a lot.

It didn’t bore me, ever, it was surprising as it went some unexpected places with the story, the characters where likable and it was moving. Yeah, I just said that, moving. It almost made me cry three times and I don’t cry. Period.

If you get the chance you should definitely read it, it’s really worth the time.

and cuuut!

New hair cutNew hair cut. I don’t have a better picture, lighting-wise, and I only have PS7, so let’s ignore the quality and honor the quantity of…one.

Anyway, I hate going to a hairstylist. To be honest, I just don’t like them washing my hair. You never know how you’ll look when they are done either, it can always happen that you need to go to work with a bag on your head the next week. (Though that won’t happen to me because the girls at salon I go to are pretty good.)

And in general, what can they tell about me from my hair? Do they know what shampoo I use or that I ate two cookies for breakfast? …well probably not, unless my shampoo and the cookies are one and the same, but I think you get my drift.

Anyway, going out again…

guess what…

20100612-01…I went shopping again. Three tank tops, a scarf and some shorts. The girl at H&M forgot to remove that savety thingy from the shorts, which is why they are not in the picture. They need to be taken back to the store, so they can take it off.

But really, if you are ever short on cash, you can go to the H&M in Ingolstadt and just steal something. No one actually cares if the alarm goes off, it happens all the time anyway, so you can just walk on out of the shop without paying.

…but for the record, I did pay.

Well, now I’m back home and I don’t feel like doing anything at all. It’s kinda been a problem as of late, I don’t really have anything to do. Not that I had much before, but you know, I have even less to do during summer…

uhm, right… useless post, written just for the sake of posting…

being entertaining

20100508-01 It doesn’t really sound good, that I basically just wanted to dump some pictures on you and then vanish into the deep secret world of real life again, does it?

It’s also interesting that I refer to my real life as secret, not the online one. But really what do you know about me? I could be an overweight, hairy accountant who lives in his mothers basement with a bucket of Vaseline on his nightstand…right, I hope I burned that nice image right into your brain.

This is the second version of this post by the way, the first one was about shopping, and who the hell needs to actually hear me talk about shopping habits? Frankly I don’t need to hear about anyone’s shopping habits, unless they include slaying mannequins and paying with M&M’s.

God, on days when I speak like this, I really should write a book, it would be a revelation to the world…

You should hear the stuff I talk about Fridays after work on the train home. People must think I was dropped on the head right after birth…twice…and since every year on my birthday.

I hear I’m pretty entertaining though, so I probably all right.

And now pictures, cause I actually did go shopping:

you shouldn’t read this, it’s boring and random

my wallThe week was ok I guess. I never really get around to posting after work, which sucks but it can’t be helped. I only have about five hours from coming home till going to bed anyway…

So what did I do today? I cleaned my room. Complete with vacuuming and dusting off my shelves.

I also decided it was time for a change on my walls…or wall, really. So I exchanged the posters I had up with my sisters Christmas gift, David Bowie posters! Yeah, I know, that was fast, only took me 5 month.

Of course I kept my Kurt Cobain poster! Obviously, since I forget my own birthday but I always know that he shot himself on the 5th april 1994… I’m not saying this to sound cool, I really forget my birthday (and my age…) 80% of the time.

anyway, and then there was the hole… (haha, yeah, while talking about kurt… bad joke, go me)… there was this big empty space left to be filled. I wanted a new poster so I looked for a motive but I couldn’t find one, and got kinda frustrated. So then I grabbed my Ramones poster and put it back up, where it last hung two years ago.

Now the wall is done and I actually like it. The photo sucks, but it’s 11pm, you could expect the lighting to be bad.

a bowl of evil

RhubarbTo most people this is a normal bowl of stewed rhubarb, however for me it is a bowl of the fruity incarnation of dripping evil…right now anyway.

I eat a bit, I notice it’s dripping on my couch, I then shift one side so the rhubarb won’t be all over the couch. I then notice it’s dripping on my pants so I shift it again and it starts dripping on my shirt…

A classic by yours truly…

I still love rhubarb and am now armed with a towel and I will not rest till I ate the very last of it!!anyway, going to read now, only 200 pages left!

… oh crap, how am I gonna read and eat without spilling??? (you’d think a 24 year old would know…)

finally spent some money!!

The Virgin Suicides, Wonder Boys (Book & DVD)

The Virgin Suicides, Wonder Boys (Book & DVD)

I’m kinda frustrated though… I haven’t been really shopping in what feels like forever. I always leave the house determined to buy something and then I come back home with nothing. Orders don’t really count though. It doesn’t feel spontaneous, putting something into a virtual shopping cart. Walking up to a counter with something random, opening your wallet and getting change, that’s what shopping is.

At least my bank account is happy about the situation. Well, I’m sure there will eventually be a time where I just buy stuff like crazy, maybe it’s the silence before the storm.
