in the dresing room, hoping for my sis to find something

Today is the first Advent and I have a very hard time believing that it’s only four weeks till christmas. It’s way too warm and sunny outside to be anywhere near winter, let alone Christmas. It kinda sucks, it makes it hard for the right mood to come up.

I also kinda feel like I’m totally booked for the next few weeks, or weekends, seeing how I come home past six during the week. There is shopping, cleaning, baking, wrapping presents, etc. I really don’t mind it though, and it doesn’t stress me out either. That’s how Christmas is normally, so it’s all perfectly fine and fun, too.

While talking about christmas: my unfinished wishlist; now give me presents

what I did and what I’m going to do

091120-01If you want to do something really european, you probably need to listen to Robbie Williams since he’s huuuuge in europe but nowhere else really. Quite random thing to say, but I’m listening to his “new” album right now, so just a thought I guess.

I went to that SEO symposium yesterday, it was terribly long and exhausting. Can’t say I learned much, seeing how it was pretty superficial, but it’s a start I guess.

The day before yesterday I got my amazon package: Ziggy Stardust + vh1 Storytellers CDs, the Labyrinth DVD and a shirt. I like the sirt a lot, I just wish the seam wasn’t inside out (wasn’t on the picture when I ordered it…) but it’s ok, I know what to do about that.

Tomorrow my sis and I are going to see 2012, looking forward to it, haven’t been to the movies for a while!

can’t keep my money to myself

0911017-01Bought Vogue Nippon today. I like it because it has the right mix between western and japanese fashion, it suits me better. I don’t really like all those japanese magazines anymore, can’t really explain why, but those kind of outfits just aren’t for me. And anyway, I’m not buying those mags to find style inspirations, to me they are just picture books for grown ups.

The magazine came with a tote bag, which is kinda cool, I like polka dots.

The other day, well, yesterday, I bought Space Oddity, the super special mega edition for the 40th anniversary. I like early Bowie the best, like from Space Oddity till Diamond Dogs or something.
I ordered a (relatively) big package yesterday, too.

If you want to make me happy this Christmas you’ll buy me something that has Bowie written on it (preferably posters or biographies). Yeah, that was subtle, wasn’t it

a new CD…again

Nick Drake - Pink MoonLately I find that the best music is found in the sale section or five bucks box or wherever you can find the CDs, that are sold for less because they aren’t selling well. I also find that I can’t exit a store where they are selling CDs without buying one.

I just wanted to buy the Star Trek DVD for my sister and came out with Nick Drake’s Pink Moon. It was only 6,99€ so I guess that’s ok.
That’s the good thing about liking old music is it’s way cheaper than the new releases. The last three CDs I bought cost as much as one new album, that’s a bargain I guess.

I don’t have a lot of CDs (about 100?) but seeing how I’m constantly buying some that’s going to change pretty soon. I never bought any CDs because I never had the money, but I have now, so I’m going to pile them up till there is no space in my room left for me to put them :D

watching the top 100

091101-01I can’t quite decide whether I have a cold or not. Most of the time I feel ok, it’s really just episodes. I feel good enough to go to work tomorrow, too.
I don’t know, I’ve just been dragging this thing, whatever it is, around with me for two weeks now. I’d like to either feel so bad I can’t move or go back to being 100%.

Anyway, I’m watching the top 100 on tv right now, which is quite a challenge for me really. Apart from the fact that the music isn’t my thing (totally not bashing anyone who likes it though…except for 091101-02Mariah Carey, Celine Dion and Avril Lavigne fans), I keep wondering if the hosts get chosen by level of stupidity. I’m actually turning the sound off when the music stops. You rarely hear so many bad jokes in a row which is certainly a pleasure I can live without.

We are at #19 (which was some Tokyo Hotel song) now and there really wasn’t anything I could see myself listening to at all. Well, with the exception of Foo Fighters - Wheels, which I actually have on my iPod.

091101-03But! To each their own! Like what you want, I’ll do that, too. ← that kind of lifestyle let’s me hang a Kurt Cobain poster right next to one of Kanjani 8 :)

Stuff I bought on Friday
CDs: The Velvet Underground & The Ramones
Books: Do you want to know a secret? (Gavin Edwards), Juliet, Naked (Nick Hornby)
DVDs: August Rush, Rock Milestones: Ziggy Stardust

short, short, short

091024-01

Went out to buy a sleeve for my laptop or netbook for that matter. Came back with a sleeve…and some other stuff.

I’m going to watch G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra now. The single reason why I’m going to do that is because Christopher Eccleston is in it… and probably for the lolz.

w…winter?

091014-03

uhm, it snowed today. it’s october! and it snowed! my sis and I got off the train in munich this morning and I was just like eh? woah?. It pretty much snowed on/off all day. Oh well, it wasn’t a snow storm or anything, just a little, but it’s october!!! why is it snowing?

I’m watching tv as I’m writing, so I’m not sure if I make sense

anywaaay~ we moved offices yesterday, so I took a few crappy pictures. Might take better ones some other time. The new office is pretty big and empty at the moment, still in need of more furniture, but I really like it :) one of the walls is purple → purple!, looks grey in the picture though…

I’m kinda wondering about my mood. I’m really happy lately, which is a bit weird. Maybe someone is slipping me some uppers or something :D

ok, gonna end this very, very random post now…

a little random

091012-01 crappy picture for your viewing pleasure… Went to buy some stuff during lunch break. Muesli bar/Granola bar (at least the translator says that’s what it’s called in english), make up remover, a small hair brush, chewing gum, small deo spray and wipes. It’s really just stuff for work or when I’m out.

Tomorrow is office moving day! I’m kinda excited about seeing the new office and all. I’m extremely happy that it’s so close to the train station because it’s going to be really cold and rainy the next few days so I’ll be happy to not have to be out so much. I don’t mind it in the evening but in the morning it kinda sucks, don’t want to sit around in wet cloth all day…

I’m watching Buffy right now so sorry if I’m a bit incoherent. I’m half through season four~ Spike can’t bite anyone anymore :) so funny~ it’s really a great show. When I’m done with Buffy I’m gonna watch Angel, too~ fun, fun~ :D

a long post about the new job

091003-03 On Thursday was my first day on the new job. I like it way more than my old one. I’m working as a web developer for a university now, a way cool university at that. They are a media centred university so they have all these cool courses like music management, computer animation, game design and all those TV and movie making stuff, really pretty cool.

I like what I’m doing, too, it’s more php than anything else, and I’m good at php. Of course I’m only getting smaller things to do at the moment, since I’ve only been there for a few days, but it’s better for the start anyway.

And, and, aaand I can leave on time! That’s not normal in my line of work; overtime (massive overtime) is what’s normal.

Liking the people there more, too. They don’t complain that much, it annoys me if people constantly complain about their work. Or their colleagues or neighbours or anything, really, just don’t complain all the time.

Right now I’m having a temporary desk in one of the other offices because the other guy responsible for internet stuff and me are going to move into a new building soon. The new office will only be 5 minutes from the train station! Currently I need to walk for 15 minutes, which isn’t bad either, but still, only 5 min!

Actually the current office is across the street from the Oktoberfest (the real one, not the weird replicas like they have in other countries). I went there yesterday on my lunch break, but it’s no real fun if you are without your friends. I only had half an hour so I didn’t get very far. Bought some tasty almonds though~

091003-01 091003-02

The other day I bought some David Bowie DVDs. I just love his stuff and the guy is just so awesomely eccentric while still keeping a good amount of normalcy, he’s really cool. My sister called me a Bowie fangirl…

Post getting too long, will stop now!

movies and shopping

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably already know that my left eye doesn’t really like me very much at the moment. Right now it’s somewhat ok again, but yesterday and this morning I looked like I lost a boxing match. Well, the eye wasn’t blue or anything, just swollen. Kinda really weird to wake up like that. Anyway, if it’s not gone by tomorrow or the day after I’ll probably need to go see a doctor about it…don’t want to!! :(

090916-02 090916-01

Yesterday my sister and I went to see District 9. I liked it a lot (and what about getting seasick you pussys xP ). There was a sign on the door to the ladys room, kinda fun. Neither my sis nor I had really eaten that day so we ended up buying this huuuuge bucket of popcorn and a pretty huge drink, too.
